Game Play: To play, children roll a die and move their guy, reading the word they land on as they go. There are detours, crosswalks, and other traffic related hazards along the way to the Candy Shop, making this a fun game that builds a bit on sportsmanship as well.
Game Assembly: Print game board and mount to one side of the file folder. Provide children with a die as well as playing pieces (pennies work great)
Expansion Ideas: For extended practice have children read all the words they skip over when moving their marker. Follow up with the Sight word worksheets below for additional practice.
