Game Play: Choose a number card and place it on the cupcake. Count and put the correct amount of cherries on top of the cupcake.
Game Assembly: Mount Cupcake to file folder. Cut out number squares and cherries for playing pieces. Hint: Use your 1 inch circle punch for the cherries. If possible, laminate for durability. Glue title page to outside so that you form a pocket. Glue Tab Label to folder.
Expansion Ideas: Once children master the concept, you can begin early addition by showing children that adding another number card and then adding the corresponding amount of cherries gives a new total.
