Game Play: Draw a card and determine if that item will sink or float when placed in water. Place it into the correct pocket.
Game Assembly: This game requires a single file folder game. Glue the “Sink” and “Float” pockets to either side of the folder. Cut out the items for playing pieces. Glue title page to outside so that you form a pocket. Glue Tab Label to folder.
Expansion Ideas: Set up an actual sink or float center with a clear rubbermaid container and a few small objects. Invite children to use the folder game as their “hypothesis” and then the rubbermaid to test. Children can move the cards into the correct pocket after testing.
