Game Play: Choose a picture and say the word aloud. Listen closley for the beginning blend sound. Deconstruct the sound and identify the correct letters used. Find that blend on the game board and place your piece accordingly.
Game Assembly: Print on cardstock. Mount flower game boards to a file folder. Punch out circle pictures with a 1.5 inch circle punch.
Expansion Ideas: This game can easily be played as a multiplayer game. Instead of mounting the flower gameboards, cut them apart so that each child gets their own gameboard. Turn all the circles over in the center and take turns drawing one at a time and placing it on the correct space on the gameboard. If that piece is already covered the circle goes back into the pile. First child to fill their flower completely, wins!
